Well, it’s been a while! Pixel and Zuko found this dusty old empty comic lying around, and like any other kind of boxes left untended, it’s theirs now! I can’t tell you what their update schedule will be, they are cats after all. The do things in their own time. I’m sure whatever it is, it’ll be better than mine!

Please take notice of that nifty new font used for the comic title. That would be the “Almost Normal” true type font, created by your truly from my very own handwriting! It was part of my final project for my Digital Coloring and Lettering class. The next two Fridays will see two new Almost Normal strips, also done as final projects for that class. You may notice some subtle changes to my coloring methods.

So, what else is new in Almost Normal land? I’m an intern at Free Lunch Comics in Granby, CT this summer! I’ve been keeping a separate blog for it and have quite a bit of artwork posted there. By the end of the summer I will have completed two 24 page comic books through the studio!

I’ve also been participating in the 100 Days 2011 project! I’ve been doing a doodle a day for over 70 days straight now and posting them at my 100 Days of Doodles blog. The earlier ones from before I started my internship are a lot more detailed than the later ones, so start from the beginning on them!

Finally, I’ll be entering my Senior Year at SCAD this September! It’s time for me to buckle down and get serious about my comic work. This strip is going to be part of that process. I look forward to exploring where it goes from here with all of you who are still along for the ride!
