I kind of doubt that anything needed to be done about Napoleon’s height insecurities: Contrary to popular belief, he wasn’t short, (he was 5’7″, average for the time). Also, he intentionally surrounded himself with a personal guard who were of above average height, (not someone with such insecurities would do).

The myth is a mix of British propaganda and a unit confusion, (a British foot is 30.48cm, a French one 32.52cm).
